VOCAA SWIMMING POOL RULES & REGULATIONS

Pool Closures: Pool will close if it is under 65°, thunderstorms, or downpours for more than 20 minutes. The pool must stay closed for 30 minutes after lightning or thunder.

Membership: Admittance is only allowed to legal residents of V.O.C.A.A. who are in good standing.

Guest Summer Family Passes: A small number of summer family guest passes are for sale each year. Please contact the office if you are interested. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Admittance: All members must give their current pool card to the lifeguard when entering the pool area, and retrieve it when they leave. Replacement cards cost $2 each.

Pool Cards: Members 12 and older can receive a pool card. Children ages 8 – 11 can test to receive a pool card, all others must be accompanied by an adult. Must have proof that the resident lives at the address.

Guests: Guests must be accompanied by a member and signed in with the lifeguard. Fees are $3 or one guest pass per person. Families are $10 each. Children UNDER THE AGE OF 12 are NOT allowed to have a guest. Members between the ages of 12 – 17 are only allowed ONE guest. The member MUST BE on the pool deck or in the pool at all times.

Large Parties: Members who have 6 OR MORE GUESTS may not be allowed in based on attendance. If the pool is at or near capacity, the lifeguards have the right to limit or deny guests entrance to the pool.

Private Parties: Private parties are NOT ALLOWED on the pool deck, all food and beverages must be consumed in the park or preferably in the clubhouse under a rental agreement. A private party consists of 8 OR MORE people.

Associate Pass: An associate membership may be purchased for any babysitter/Nanny who is NOT already a member. Associate members can only use the pool while the member is present. The cost is $50.00 per season.

Grandchildren: Grandparents are allowed to bring their grandchildren to the pool free of charge, but must stay will them at all times.

Attire: Appropriate swimwear must be worn in the pool, street shoes are prohibited within the pool area. Children, not toilet trained must wear swim diapers.

Weak Swimmer: If a child is a weak swimmer and or uses a flotation device, parents must be in the water with the child at all times.

Showers: All swimmers must be clean and take a shower before entering the pool.

Wade Pool: NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. Swim at your own risk.

Diving Board: One person on board at a time. No cartwheels, handstands, or hanging off the board. Only ONE BOUNCE on the board is allowed before diving. You must JUMP STRAIGHT OFF the board. Lifeguards may restrict certain dives based on safety concerns.

Enforcement: All members and guests are expected to follow the rules. Adult members not following the rules will be asked to correct their behavior or leave. Minors not following the rules will be asked to sit out for 20 minutes and can return to the pool if willing to follow the rules. If they are is still having trouble, they will be asked to leave for the day. If they don’t, they may be banned from for the season.

The following are PROHIBITED within the pool area: glass containers, personal stereos, foul language, running, wrestling, horseplay, punching, dunking, diving from the shoulders of any other persons, and any other activities considered hazardous by the Lifeguards.

The lifeguards are employees of VOCAA and must enforce these rules to the best of their ability. If you disagree with a rule, please DO NOT argue with them, simply give them your name and phone number and a Pool Committee representative will contact you regarding your complaint.
